Home insurance assumptions
In order to keep the questions we need to ask you to a minimum, we have made a number of assumptions about you. Please take the time to read through these assumptions as they will form part of your home insurance contract. If any of the assumptions are not correct you should call us to obtain a home insurance quote.
- You are aged 18 years or over
- Your property is your main residence
- Your property is occupied solely by you and your family
- Your property is used for residential purposes and is not used for any business use or profession other than paperwork, telephone calls and computer work
- Your property is not left unoccupied for more than 30 days in a row
- The property to be insured is in the UK
- You own, lease or you are purchasing the property
- Your home is built of brick or concrete and roofed with slate, tile, concrete, metal or asphalt
- Your home is in a good state of repair and will be so maintained
- Your home is self contained with its own front door
- You or any adult living with you have not had home insurance refused, cancelled or declared null and void or had special terms imposed
- You or any adult living with you have never been convicted of any criminal offence (other than motoring convictions) or have any prosecutions pending
- You or any adult living with you has not suffered any loss, damage or liability whether insured or not during the last 3 years
- Your property has not been damaged by flood and is not in an area liable to flood
- Your property has not been affected by subsidence or structural movement and is not in an area subject to subsidence
- You accept this policy on an automatic renewal basis and agree to us automatically renewing your policy each year using the payment details given when you purchased the policy unless you ask us not to
