Uninsured Drivers Promise

The Motor Insurers' Bureau stated that an estimated 1.4 million drivers* were uninsured. So if you’re hit by one of them, why should you be penalised?

When making a claim

To help us process your uninsured driver claim please have the following:

• Vehicle registration number
• The make and model of the car
• If possible the driver’s contact details
• It will also help us to confirm who is at fault if you can get the name and address of any independent witnesses

If our investigations are ongoing

If our investigations are ongoing you may have to pay an excess, or if your renewal is due during our investigations, you may lose your No Claim Discount temporarily. However, once we confirm that the accident was the fault of the uninsured driver, we will repay your excess, restore your No Claim Discount and refund any extra premium you have paid.
